Stephen G. Strum has seven years of experience as President of Frontier Weather, Inc. He is responsible for producing 15 day weather forecasts for cities throughout the United States that are used by energy traders to anticipate electricity and natural gas demand, monitoring tropical weather that might impact oil and gas infrastructure in the Gulf of Mexico and elsewhere, and producing long-range seasonal weather outlooks to help anticipate energy demand changes over the next several months. Prior to launching Frontier Weather, Inc., Mr. Strum worked as the lead meteorologist for Williams Energy Marketing & Trading from 1999 to 2003. He became involved in his profession because he always had an interest in how weather impacted the commodity and equity markets and he attributes his success to his hard work and ability to build and maintain relationships with people.
Mr. Strum received his bachelor of science in meteorology from The Pennsylvania State University in 1997 and his master of science in meteorology from The University of Oklahoma in 1999. He is also a member of the American Meteorological Society and the local Northeast Oklahoma Chapter of the AMS.
